Our flight from Toronto was shy of just four hours. A wee bit bumpy, but worth it. The bottom picture is the view out the airplane window just before leaving Toronto. It was chilly and had snowed a bit. We were dressed in our sunny south clothes leaving the hotel, and were anxious to get in somewhere warm.
As our plane got closer to our destination, we could see parts of Cuba from high above the clouds. The beautiful turquoise water, coral and beaches. We have not been to Cuba but we hear everyone loves it that has been, including my Dad.
As the plane banks around, Deb shot the picture of Seven mile beach, which is an incredible stretch of silky white sandy beach famous in Grand Cayman (the second picture). Grand Cayman is actually very small. Not more than 10 miles long and not 5 miles wide...approximately. Thus when you land at the airport, you have water at each end of the runway.....thus why Karen is smiling in the picture above. WE MADE IT!!!!!
