Snorkelling is something anybody can do. It doesn't matter your age, sex, size, experience......anyone.
Today was Karen's and mine first time in the ocean. We were nervous. Tammy and Donna stayed close and we took our time. There are so many big coral plants under water that you feel you might touch them. We need to swim out a wee way to come to the deeper water. It is so beautiful.
Blue Angel fish. Striped fish. Fish that when they swim sideways it looks like they have a big 'eye' on them. Red sea urchins hidden in the rocks. In the even deeper water we came upon about 8 tarpons all hanging around.
On the bottom of the water, in the sand, I thought I saw the shape of a stingray, sort of hidden in the sand. When it moved, it looked more like a sea turtle playing! I turned to the girls to tell them and when I looked back it was gone.
We stayed out for about an hour.
Great for our first day. We will see what we see tomorrow.
