Grand Cayman, is located just south of Cuba and West of Jamaica. It is a British colony.
It is easy to get around. Basically, it is one long, curvy street, filled with shops. Everything from Diamond & jewelry, to t-shirts, Rum cakes, fish souvenirs, restaurants, Harley Davidson shops, Dairy Queen, (I am not kidding), designer bags, cigar shops, underwater supplies stores, the list goes on. Easy to do on your own if you are on a cruise.
Also there are places to snorkel right in town. At each end but not more than a 10 minute walk in either direction.
The shop keepers are some of the friendliest people. They are funny and curious about where we come from.
We have met many Ex-pat's (people from other countries who have moved to Cayman). Today, we met a gal from Victoria, BC who has lived in Cayman for 3 years. She says she goes back only in the summer, because of the sun! Cute as a button.
